Lash Lift

Laser treatments, waxing, manicure, pedicure, threading, tinting after care

Thank you for choosing elegance for your treatment. We advise that you strictly adhere to the following instructions for better care of your Lash lift

The Lash Lift is a very low maintenance procedure compared to eyelash

extensions, however, there is a little extra care required over the first 24-48hrs whilst the lift is still settling into place and a few tips to help you get the longest results.

Aftercare instructions:

  • Be gentle with your lashes; no rubbing

  • Do not get your lashes wet for the first 24 hrs

  • Do not use harsh products on your eyes/lashes

  • Use of Sauna/Steam is possible after 24hrs but may weaken the effect of the lift.

  • No eye make up for 24 hours.

  • Do not use eyelash curlers

  • Avoid waterproof mascara's

  • Swimming should be avoided for at least 24hrs.

  • No other facial beauty treatments for 24hrs

  • Remember, the lash lift procedure is similar to a hair perm, and as such the hair must be kept well nourished and treated delicately to avoid breakage/weakening.

  • We recommend: Using gentle soap free products around the eyes (the simple range is suitable and inexpensive) Daily use of a lash nourishing serum/conditioner (we sell these or can advise you of products). Pat gently to dry.

  • Be aware that swimming can weaken the lift quicker.

Before and After Laser

Laser treatments, waxing, manicure, pedicure, threading, tinting after care

Thank you for choosing elegance for your treatment. We advise that you strictly adhere to the following instructions for better care of your treatment

Prepare laser - Prior to arriving for your treatment session.

  • The area of treatment should be shaved at least 12 hours prior to treatment.

  • Wear loose-fitting clothes on the day.

  • Avoid alcohol or smoking the night before and on the day of the treatment.

  • Drink at least 1 litre of water the day before and the day of treatment - this helps your body to regulate its temperature. Arrive early prior so that you are relaxed.

  • Do not exercise before the treatment.

  • Avoid applying any products on areas of treatment, keep it dry and clean prior to treatment. Do not expose the skin to UV light (sunlight or sunbeds) or apply any self-tanning products for 2 weeks prior to treatment.

After care laser - Protecting your skin after and between sessions.

Here's what to avoid:

  • Avoid exposing skin to UV light (sunlight or sunbeds) or self-tan for at least 2 weeks after treatment. This is to minimise darkening of the skin (hyperpigmentation).

  • Avoid heat treatments such as spas, steam rooms and saunas for 7 days.

  • Avoid excessive scrubbing or applying pressure to the skin for 4-5 days. This is to allow the treated skin to recover and to prevent any infection.

  • Avoid shaving the treated area for 72 hours after treatment.

  • Avoid exercising for at least 48 hours.

  • Avoid hot baths and hot showers for 48 hours.

  • Avoid anything that involves chlorine (e.g. swimming) for 48 hours.

  • Avoid make-up on the treated area for at least 48 hours.

  • Avoid the application of perfumed products or bleaching creams for 48 hours.

  • Avoid scratching the treatment area if blistering or crusting occurs, as this can cause scarring.

  • Avoid waxing, tweezing and threading for the complete duration of the treatment course.

Waxing

Laser treatments, waxing, manicure, pedicure, threading, tinting after care

Thank you for choosing elegance for your treatment. We advise that you strictly adhere to the following instructions for better care of your Waxing

Please note: some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common

and perfectly normal. These are temporary reactions, particularly if this is

your first wax. These symptoms should subside over the next 24-48 hours.

Keep the waxed area clean, and avoid heat and friction during these hours.

This means: Your skin will be temporarily sensitised after waxing. Following these recommendations will reduce the risk of irritation or minor infections. They should be followed for 24 hours or until the skin returns to normal.

  • No hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only)

  • No sauna, hot tubs or steam treatments

  • No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans)

  • No sports, gym work or other excercise

  • Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands

  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools

  • Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area

  • To soothe and protect the skin, apply an antiseptic cream to the waxed area regularly for 3 days following your treatment. Always wash your hands before applying any product.

Nail Extensions

Laser treatments, waxing, manicure, pedicure, threading, tinting after care

Thank you for choosing elegance for your treatment. We advise that you strictly adhere to the following instructions for better care of your Nail Extensions

  • Always use gloves when washing up, cleaning or gardening, as household chemicals will strip natural nails and skin of natural oils, thus affecting it’s look and condition.

  • Use cuticle oil before going to bed. This will nourish the root of the natural nail allowing it to produce stronger.

  • Never use your nail extensions as tools, treat them as your natural nails.

  • Use non-acetone nail polish remover.

  • Take care around extreme heat or naked flames as nail extensions may melt.

  • Do not pick off the extensions as this will remove the upper layer of your natural nails, thus causing damage. Have them removed professionally.

  • If lifting can be seen, please contact us as water and dirt can get under it and cause an infection.

  • If any adverse reaction occurs: rash, redness, inflammation of any kind around the nails please contact your GP.

  • Tinting lotions, suntan creams and hair products can discolour your nail extentions so wash your hands thoroughly after use or wear gloves to protect them.

  • Do not miss your regular maintenance appointments to ensure your nails stay looking at their best. It is advised to carry out in fills every 2 to 3 weeks, otherwise the product will become weaker (due to wear and tear) and chances to break the nails.

Eyelash Extensions

Laser treatments, waxing, manicure, pedicure, threading, tinting after care

Thank you for choosing elegance for your treatment. We advise that you strictly adhere to the following instructions for better care of your Eyelash Extensions

  • For the first 48 hours after the application of lash extensions, do not allow water to come into contact with the lashes

  • For two days after the treatment do not steam your face or use the sauna

  • Do not use waterproof mascara or mascara remover on lashes as make-up remover will affect the bonding of lashes.

  • Do not perm lash extensions or tint the lashes

  • Do not use an eyelash curler as it could break the lash bond.

  • Never pull off the eyelash extensions as this will pull out your natural eyelashes

  • Be gentle with the lash extentions, avoid tugging and getting them caught of clothes and towels

UV Nail Polish

Laser treatments, waxing, manicure, pedicure, threading, tinting after care

Thank you for choosing elegance for your treatment. We advise that you strictly adhere to the following instructions for better care of your UV Polish

  • In the first 24 hours after application, you should be especially careful with your nails.

  • Use cuticle oil daily. Dab a little onto each nail and massage into the nail and surrounding skin.

  • Using cuticle oil gives your nails the nutrients they need to stay strong and healthy.

  • Never use your nails as tools instead use the pads of your fingers. (e.g. when typing)

  • Don't pick the product off- this will cause damage to the nail that cannot be repaired.

  • Always use rubber gloves when doing household chores and gardening. Avoid using harsh chemicals without wearing gloves. Dye from your jeans or your newly coloured hair can stain your gel polish.

  • Chlorine may cause lifting of Gel Polish. For best results, please wait 24 hours after application before you go swimming.

  • Certain products such as sunscreen, tanning lotion, insect repellents and oil based products can cause the gel polish to lift. When using these products, try to avoid getting the product on your nails and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.

  • Never use metal nail files, these are too harsh and may cause damage to your manicure.

  • Return for regular, professional manicures every 2 -3 weeks
